Dear Denise,
My sincerest sympathies to your family.
Maybe I can help you. I have a lot of information on Audet/tes. It doesn't really matter how you spell it -- we're all descended from one man, Nicolas Audet-dit-Lapointe. He came to Canada with the Carignan-Salières Regiment in 1663.
I've already located your grandfather in Holyoke in the 1920 census. Please let me know if you'd like more information.
