Hello Gary,
My maiden name was Aucott and my father's family were brick/tilemakers from around the Tamworth area, particularly Wilnecote and Seckington. I have done a lot of research on them and would be interested in sharing info.

I had a Joseph who married Elizabeth Ross in the 1830s but he died of cholera a few years later.

Spelling variations include Al(l)cot, Al(l)cote, Alcoat.
