According my mother's notes, James Wiley VanHoy and Nancy Almeda Atwood were married Feb 5, 1870. He died July 8, 1927; she, Jan 1, 1938. They are buried in a small plot in a field behind the house at 2540 York Ridge Rd, Volney, Virginia. I visited the site a couple of years ago. The markers were in excellent condition.
Their daughter, Alice Elizabeth VanHoy, was my great grandmother.
My mother has visited also the site where Almeda's parents are buried, but she no longer remembers exactly where it is.
