Hello all, I really would appriciate a couple of obit look ups in the Clay, Sullivan, and St. Louis MO areas.
First, my Aunt, Sarah ATWOOD, her death cert. states:
born 29 Oct 1919, OK; died 13 May 1929, 10 yrs 6 mos old. Family was living in North KC MO, Sarah was buried in Excelsior Springs MO (Crown Hill cem. ?), undertaker Morton & Co.
Next, Sarah's father,Francis "Frank" R. W. ATWOOD, b: 21 Sept 1871, Sullivan Co., MO; d:22 Apr 1943 (72 yrs 7 mo 1 d), Sullivan Co. MO, spent last 8 years of life in a 'home'. Wife on death cert. was only given as STERNS. This was Mary STERNS or STARNES, his first wife (m) 1 Jul 1896. His second wife was 16 year old Anna Irena CARMER (m) 1908. Anna is my grandmother and she had at least 3 children (maybe a fourth died as infant) and left Mr. ATWOOD when she was about 3 mo pregnant with Sarah.
Finally, I need obit and info on a Harry PATES (I think really is PATE) b: ca 1850 in St. Louis (MO or ILL?), d: 12-19-1901, burial St. Peter & Pauls, undertaker John Gebken. Died at 51 yrs old, bricklayer. I believe he lived his life and died in the St. Louis MO area. Death Cert at Roll Number C 10406 Page 269 Number 10191 St. Louis. He may be the father in law to Anna CARMER ATWOOD.
Any further info and obits for these people are greatly appreciated.
