My husband is related to the Atwood family.

His Great Grandmother x13 was Joan Atwood, born 1442 in Cokkes, Ardingley, Sussex. Her parents were John Atwood, born c1420 Sussex? and Joane Naldrett, born 1422, Rudgewick, Sussex.

I am wondering if our line of Atwood's are related to the line in Surrey, dating back to Peter De Wyckhurst.

I have seen this stated in a tree on rootweb, but others deny the link.

Does anyone know of the link, and can confirm this with documentation ?
