Hi Jennifer :
Here is a post i did today tracing my ancestors back to Benjamin Atwell of New London, Conneticut; however, like yourself would love to find out more about Benjamin's ancestors before they came to the US.From my research I have found the Atwell name to have been common southeastern England mainly in the counties of Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire well before the Norman Conquest. So this was indeed a very exciting find. Hope to hear from you and share information.
