I have a similar line of Atwood's, which begins with Peter Atte-Wode [1321]. I think it may have come from "Ye Atte Wode Annals", compiled by Elijah Francis Atwood and published by him in 1928. It is still found in various libraries. I hope you find a copy to check out my hunch. The line I have was given to me some years ago without attribution.
