Would someone be so kind as to help me out with a lookup or any information regarding a family member for which I am searching?
Just today I discovered in an index that a NICHOLAS ATTWOOD died at St. Olave in the first quarter of 1843.
He may be a ggg-grandfather for which I am looking. In 1846, a 16-yr-old Nicholas listed his land residence as Wandsworth (it was on a mariners registry). Nicholas Jr. went to sea and registered in London as a cabin boy). In 1841 census of Sussex, Nicholas Jr. and his younger brother William are living with a family in Little London near Uckfield. Nicholas Jr. emigrated to the US by 1855. I think the elder Nicholas was his father.
If someone has access to this record or info, I would appreciate whatever other info might be on the actual death record. kate81055@yahoo.com
