Great Parndon in Essex is now an electoral ward in Harlow, Essex.
I was born in Harlow, but my father was from West London. From memory (I left Harlow for Australia 13 years ago) there weren't a lot of us in the town. I think that there were only one or two in the phone directory besides my family.
Have you tried the local paper in Harlow ? Their web address is "http://www.herts-essex-news.co.uk/henpages/starpages/index.html"
They have a Message forum there. You may get a response if you post there. Sorry I can't help more...
