Thanks for the reply, I have also noticed the variations in spelling.
I don't know for sure where they died, but I think it was Milton. William Box was not on the 1841 Census and Sarah was still in Milton aged 65 with 2 of their grown up children. I suppose he could have been in Milton Union workhouse which opened in 1836. I found thier oldest son there in 1861.
One interesting coincidence I found in a book called 'The past glory of Milton Creek'. A Wilf 'Pip' Box who was a prominent barge skipper in the 1920/30s (b.1901) had a 'mate' Henry Attwater.
I will send you any other ATTWATER(S) I find.
