Mike,
I have found a Mary in my notes. She was a grandchild of Harrison Attaway and Julia Smith.
One of their sons, Daniel Attaway married Luella Teresa Ward. They had 9 children. Kathyrn, Margaret, Helen, Daniel, Carolyn, James, Mary, Joseph, Agnes.
Agnes, the youngest was close to my own father's age, and I knew her. I am quessing that since Agnes was born around 1900 or so that 1895 would be a possible time period for her sister Mary's birth.
Agnes lived in Oklahoma or Texas. I think Daniel may have moved the family there at sometime.
I hope this is your grandparent. There were no other Attaways in Missouri during this time period. In fact, I had no idea that there were so many Attaways scattered around mostly in the South! Attaway was very uncommon where I lived. The only Attaways that I knew were related to me.
