I have traced my family back to Alfred Atkins b. 1858 d. 1917, and his brother David Crockett Atkins b. 1873 d.1948.,both of Lousianna. I have been told that their father was from Ireland and there mother was from the Carribeans, although we are pretty sure these two never married, they settled in Lousianna. The two sons were mulattoes. I have a photograph of the younger brother attending the "1904 World's Fair". I believe both men were born in or near the Parish of East Feliciana. The older bother, Alfred may have been married twice. His last wife was Nancy I don't know her maiden name. David married P.C.(Clarice) Williams, daughter of Daffing Williams.
There was a David Jr, born 1898 in Lousianna. He married Grace of Arkansas, don't know her last name.
I would appreciate any help you could give.
