Thanks for posting! But I dont think that is the correct Spencer Atkins.

My Spencer Atkins is listed as being from Va.(1794-1860), but married Millie Franks who was from South Carolina.

Thier children were: Matilda (1819-1891), Joel (1819-1895), Martin (1823-1860), William C. (1827-1902), Alexandra (1834-1880), James (1836-?), Martha Ann (1817-1896), Sarah A. (1820-?), and Thomas J. (1825-1859).

Spencer and most of his children settled in Alabama, near the Mississippi State Line. Some of his children ended up in LA though.
