Looking for info. regarding Atkin(s) originating in Lincolnshire, England, specifically Metheringham. Family tradition has the family being very important in the area as blacksmiths. Oldest sons, always named Thomas, inherited the shop in Metheringham and the younger sons plied their trade in other areas of the shire. TIA PeterG
