I'm looking for information on the Atkin branch, I'm sure that the two families are related. My gr.granfather Herbert, came to Ontario with his wife Elizabeth (ne. Turner) and their children approx. 1905. The ship was the Empress of France. I have the info. for what happened after they arrived, but am looking for info. re. England. The bit I have is:
-Herbert won an England wide blacksmith competition at the turn of the century
- the family is supposed to originate in a ?town/village? of Metheringham where they were the smithing family
-the oldest son, always called Tom, inhereited the family smithy
any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
