It all starts with Walter Athey b.1585 Galway,Ireland
His son, Francis Athey b. 1615 Galway, Ireland
His Son, George Athey b. 1642 Galway, Ireland
His Son, Thomas Athey b. 1695 ,Prince George,Maryland
His son, Walter William Athey b. 1621 ,Prince George,Maryland
His son, Thomas M. Athey b.1781 ,Fairfax,Virginia
His son, James Athey b.1810 ,Hardy,Virginia
His Son Michael Athey b. 1839 ,Tippacanoe,Indiana
His daughter Margaret Ann Athey b.17 Nov 1868 ,Warren, Iowa
Margaret Ann married Thomas Benton Van Horn, who is my Great-great-Grandfather.
I am connected to the Iowa Athey's in about 4 different ways, as lots of brothers married sisters and what-not. I have lots of info on the Greene Co. Iowa Athey's if anyone is searching one of these lines.
