Seeking information on the parents of the wife of Elijah Athy/Athey. Elijah was born circa 1720 in (probably) Prince George's Co., MD. He possibly lived in Charles Co., MD and then later moved to Prince William, VA. It seems that Mary SIMMS must be a descendant of Marmaduke SEMME(S), the progenitor of the Semmes/Simms family of southern Maryland, who was in the province as early as 1662. However, I have not been able to place her with/as one of his descendants.
Any thoughts/clues/comments are most appreciated!
