Catherine S. Athey - BEEVILLE

BEEVILLE - Catherine Stanton Athey, 89, of Beeville, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005.
She was born Feb. 8, 1916, in Leon County, to the late Thomas Henry and George Amanda Kirksey Stanton. She was a bookkeeper for Athey's Tire Shop and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, United Methodist Women, Wednesday Luncheon Club, and Home Arts Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors: daughters, Shirley Athey Young of Beeville and Sandra Athey Keener of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: husband, Arthur M. Athey; two sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight at Galloway & Sons Funeral Directors chapel.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Bill Duke officiating.
Burial will be at Beeville Memorial Park. Galloway & Sons Funeral Directors, Beeville, 361-358-2512.
Memorials: First United Methodist Church and South Texas Children's Home.
