My mother's maiden name is Athey. Her father was John and traced their family back to twins, Elijah and Elisha in Galway. Said to have come to America in the 1600s. Fought in the Revolution and eventaully settled in Ohio, near Columbus. My mother's brother was named Elijah and he died in the seventies. My mother is alive and is the last of her siblings. Could there be a connection?
