I found the original School Certificate from Southside Elementary School of Opelika, Alabama for a Martha Athey of Opelika. (Where Auburn University is located). These were given by the State of Alabama and look like a college diploma. It was dated June 1, 1938. Was signed by Chairman of City board of Education Forney Renko and City Superientendent R.B. Marden and Margaret Stroud, Principal. Will be glad to mail it to any member of Martha Athey or any of the other families listed. It is in plastic and is well preserved. Bought at an antique shop for $1. so have no information on the family.
