Atherton's Kentucky/Tenn border Jeptha? Or Jesse possibly? Barren Co. KY Area?

Hi, a paper recently came my way from another one in the family who worked on our Atherton Genealogy, she has since passed on. This paper was handed to me and is a copy of Jeptha Atherton's Will. I am not exactly sure where Jeptha Atherton fits in, because I can't seem to connect the dots inbetween Jeptha and my great grandfather or my great grandmother. My great grandmother's name was Minvera Ann Atherton, she had a sister but at this point I don't know the sister's name. Her Father was supposed to be Stephen Atherton who married a Mary (Pierdon or Peirdin)? Name is sketchy at best on the copy of a marriage license that I have. My Atherton's were down in the Barren County Kentucky area and this is where Stephen married. I can't find a son who would have carried on the Atherton name from Jeptha except for his son Jesse. At every turn, I come up with Jesse as not being married. Was any of Jeptha's or Jesse's descendants in KY? This could just be a mistake that someone has over looked somewhere along the lines? My great grandmother Minerva Atherton married a man by the name of William Johns and sometime or another they moved to Louisville, KY and both died there. Here are some names that I have listed:

2.Ethel J. Johns Born: March 23, 1908 Died: Sept. 5, 1924 - Daughter of Minerva (was called Nerva or Nervie) Ann Atherton & William H. Johns

7.Charles William
8.Blanche
9.Annie Pearl
10.Minerva Ann Atherton, married a William H. Johns
11.James Atherton
12. Bertie Johns Born: Aug. 7, 1915 died Oct. 29, 1918 Buried in Barren Co. KY - Daughter of Minerva Ann Atherton & William H. Johns
13.Virgina (Virgie)L. Johns married Virgil L. Emmett - daughter of Minerva Ann Atherton and William H. Johns
Emmett's also from the Barren Co. Glasglow area's of Kentucky and Johns

Any help at this point would be great. Thank you in advance.
