According to his marriage record in Barbour Co WV, Milton C Atherton was born 8 May 1824 in Cayuga (Cayuga Co) NY. Parents (on marriage record) are listed as Cornelius and Mary Atherton. In 1850 he appears in the Federal Census, Erie County, Huron Twp, Ohio with a wife Delia and a son, Franklin, age 1. Marriage record shows Delia's maiden name was Benschoter. Have no information on what happened to Delia and Franklin (suspect cholora outbreak); however, Milton married again in 1859 in Barbour Co WV my great grandmother Elizabeth Holden.

Need assistance locating Milton's birth record and information on his parents and other ancestors as I have been unable to obtain any information from New York.
