I have been researching the Atherton family of Mercer County (now part of Boyle County) Kentucky and Johnson and Bates Counties Missouri, especially Thomas and Jabez Atherton, my second and third great-grandfathers.

Two of Jabez's daughters on the 1880 Federal Census listed Pennsylvania as his place of birth, which would have been about 1790.

If you believe there is a connection between Cornelius and Jabez, or have any other information about him, please contact me.
