Julia Stella Atherton born October 10, 1859. Died August 17, 1934. Buried at LaGrande, Oregon. She was first married to John Trimmell in 1880. John died in 1881 leaving her with a daughter Grace.
Grace married Pearl Devaney having the following children: Opal, Flora Eunice, Howard, Mildred Mae, Clifford, Jessie, Julia Grace, Nevada Pearl.
Grace later married Angelo De Fillippi in Nevada.
Julia Stella Atherton Trimmell married Sam Seward, March 10, 1889 at Cherryvale, Kansas. Sam Seward died in Oregon Feb. 27, 1927.
They had two children: Bessie Bell and Frank.
Bessie Bell Seward married J. B. Higgins and had Dorothy May, b. Aug 12, 1913, and Donald Blaine, b. Mar 11, 1916.
Dorothy May Higgins married Jess L. Barr having the following children: John Daniel Barr, married Jane, them having Bruce Daniel.
Gordon R. Barr, married Paula Halverson.
Peggy Barr.
Donald Blaine Higgins, b. Mar 11, 1916, married Vachel Stone, having the following children: Russel Fred Higgins who married Ingred Lubberger of Schivetzinger, Germany.
Robert Joseph Higgins married Carol.
Jane Ellen Higgins married Steve Brabb.
Richard Allen Lynn Higgins.
Bessie Bell Seward Higgins divorced J. B. Higgins and later married C. F. McPherson, who died April 1, 1961.
Frank Seward, son of Julia Stella Atherton Trimmell Seward and Sam Seward, married Hazel Hardy. Frank died Feb. 17, 1952 and is buried at LaGrande, Oregon. Their children are:
1. Ruth May Seward, b. July 24, 1915, married John Steele..children are: Ivan Dale, Christene Ann, John Douglas.
2.Harley Elmer Seward, married Gloria...children are: Ronald, and Randolph.
3.Eleanor Louise Seward married Harold Hamblet...child is: Wayne.
4.Franklin Seward
I hope this will help ya some. If you need more information, just let me know. Julia Stella Atherton has a brother, Frank Henry Atherton, which is my great grand father. My mother has a few pictures of these people, so if you would like them let us know also.
