Hello Brenda,

I too am searching for information on MARY ELLEN ATHERTON born abt. 1877. She would be my paternal great grandmother. The Mary I am tracing was the daughter of WILLIAM ATHERTON, she maried EDWARD WELSH on 22/05/1897 in Salford they had my gradmother ETHEL MAY WELSH.

I hope you will contact me if it turns out to be the same person.
