The family line is Asahel(9)William(8)William(7)Elisha(6)Ashael(5)John(4)Humphrey Jr.(3)Consider(2)Humphrey(1).
William(7) married Sara Roberts in PA. and then moved to NY. Children: William(8)Stephen,Ashael moved to Michigan, James had son Cyrus went to Michigan, Sara, Betsy, Lydia, Polly,Samuel went to Michigan. William(8) married Phoebe Bailey June 15 1815. Children:
Ashael born in Caneadea NY about 1820. Married Mary Radley Sept 23 1838. Eight Sons. moved to Michigan. My great grandmother was Lydia Atherton sister to Ashael. She married Charles Dummer Pattee Sept 1 1850 in Caneadea. Shortly after they moved to Lenawee County MI and then to Saginaw and Bridgeport MI. I have a lot of New York Atherton history if you would like to trade for Michigan history.
