Thanks, Yes I shoud not have posted that. I have that list of sheriffs also, and there is no Atherton. I have read all of the previous posts. I simply am looking for information on the previous 1 or 2 generations before the following -

H. Atherton 1609-1661 from
Ed. Atherton 1576-1613 from
H. Atherton 1550-aft.1596.
