Anybody out there know anything about Joel Atherton, born Dutchess county N.Y.,1746. My information says he was born in the "Oblong" of the county, which was a strip of land on the Eastern boundary. Would like to know if he ever married and who his children were.He moved to New Jersey at least by the time of the American Revolution and fought in the N.J. militia.He lived around the Wantage N.J. area.
