I am looking for the ancestry of a Rebecca Atherton, b.1802 in Hardin Cty, KY. She married James Hanks in 1813 (yes, she was 11) in Elizabethtown, Hardin Cty and moved to Macon Cty, Ill. between 1820-1830.
According to the 1880 census, Rebecca states that her father was born in NY (they lived in Little York KY for a while) and her mother in New Jersey. No dates or names can be found. I am leaning towards a william Atherton I have found around that time.
If you have any info I would certainly appreciate it!
