My line is of the Charles Atherton listed in the 1870 census at the age of 46 in Ballard County in Town of Blandville. We are the Atherton's who lived in Hunt County Texas. Charles son Calvin moved there with several of his brothers and cousins. My Greatgrand mother is Serena Francis Watson the daughter of Calvin Acie Atherton. Do you have any information about the other Atherton's in Ballard? There is nine of them in the 1870 census. I wonder what the relationship was to my Charles M. Atherton (1824 Ill). One of Serena's daughter's name Florence Estell Watson married a Davis from the area of Delta or Hunt County Texas. Just wondering if these are part of the Davis family you were talking about? Do you know anything about the Eline Atherton who is listed on the 1870 census in Ballard County at the age of 60?
