My grandfather was Gerald Eugene Atherton, son of Asahel. My father has researched the "famly tree" and can provide you a great deal of info. regarding same. I will contact him in Florida and get it if you are interested.
Gerald married Bessie Galbrath and had five children. My Mother was the oldest Helen, followed by Mabel, Floyd, Russell (died in infancy and buried in Flint, Michigan, and Gerald) All are deceased except for Mabel who no lives in Georgia. I have three cousins born Atherton, Roger, Judy and Russell. They were my uncle Geralds children. Gerald died in 1959. Last I knew they lived around Michigaumee, Michigan in the UP.
