Jeptha Atherton married Elizabeth Thorpe 11 Mar. 1763 Southampson Co. Va. She was Mrs.Thomas Jarrell IV married 14 Feb 1752-same spot.

Note on Penelope says Joshua Bell in 1783 Halifax mentions sister-in-law Penelope Atherton in his will.

Elizabeth Thorpe is the dtr. of Timothy & Martha Peterson. Martha is the dtr. of Batt Peterson & Frances Brown- Timothy son of Timothy & Mary (Last name questionable)
