I located the following information in my files regarding Jabez Atherton:

In the Michael Shoemaker book (copies provided by Wyoming Historical Society) there is mention that a Jabez Atherton "shown as a single man on the tax list in 1809; removed (from Luzerne Co) in 1812" was believed to be the son of John and Mary (Fulkerson) Atherton.
John was born between 1760-1762 and died 18 Apr 1841 in Luzerne Co. I don't have any dates on Mary Fulkerson. John's father and mother were Cornelius and Mary (Delano) Atherton.

If this information appears to be a match for you, please let me know. I have a great deal of information on Cornelius's family.
