Hello,
Just received an old will of my ancestors dated 1830 from Lexington Kentucky. He appointed William W. Ater as his executor and it appears he appointed him care of 2 minor children at the time. I found on record a William W. Ater married an Elizabeth Adams in Lexington Kentucky on Jan 15, 1828. The two minor children were from the marriage of Polly Adams & William Pritchartt of Lexington. Can anyone offer further on this William W. Ater? He is listed on the 1840 Lexington Census, but no further. Can not find him on any searches? Please contact me if this sounds familiar.
