Another oddity I found today is Abraham is shown marrying Charity Ephien in Frederick Co. MD on 30 March 1799(this was on Ancestry Maryland Marriages 1655 to 1850. And another source said he married her in Ross Co. 3 of April 1799, and the third was 13 April 1799 in Virginia. I realize the later two are personally submitted records. I had the impression from earlier Ohio records that they married after they arrived in Ohio, but the Charity Ephien is awfully close to Eveland, as well as close in dates.
Note, I have NOT checked Ross Co. Ohio records for this marriage myself, so it may be a moot point if it is recorded there in Courthouse.
Is there any reference as to how long the trip took from Harper's Ferry to Ross Co. Ohio?
