In my document on the descendants of the George Ator who settled in Ohio in 1800 I have the following paragraph:

62- GEORGE ATER III was born March 15, 1816, in Deer Creek Township, Pickaway County, Ohio. He married Hannah Thurston Bright (born September 28, 1824, in Indiana) on
December 8, 1844, at Monticello, Indiana. They had a “large family.” They moved to Burnet County, Texas, in 1852. In 1881 George said that he had 1950 head of cattle, all doing well on the range. Hannah suffered from consumption and is said to not have complained of her
suffering. She died September 24, 1888. George died November 19, 1897.

This is all I have on him. Why people move is very interesting.
