I have a copy of page 12 & 79 of the Jefferson County Facts & folks Book Illinois; copyright 1978
It briefly mentions his service, just being a veteran. he purchased land in Mt. Vernon & was later the JP & city commissioner. I have a book dated June 1994 from Nelson Wayland. The genealogy starts with Barton & Prudence. If you find an update, please let me know. Also I was told there was family info in the Genealogy of William #1 Atchison cc 1650-1698 by F Bennett. haven't found a copy yet - hope this helps
