I am trying to find out where in England my gr-gr-gr-grandfather Isaac Asplin came from and who his parents were? He was born June 30, 1826 in England. He came to the United States in 1832 at 6 years old. In 1853 he married Nancy Lewis, daughter of John and Sarah Lewis. She was born in 1830 in Tennessee. I don't know if they were married in Tennessee or somewhere else. They made their home in Richwoods, Washington County, MO where they had five children between the years of 1855 and 1869. Isaac Asplin died 26 Feb 1906 and is buried in the Asplin Cemetery, Washington County, MO. along with one of his sons, Melvin R. Asplin born 1 Oct 1869, died 8 Oct 1956. I don't know if Nancy (Lewis) Asplin, his wife, is also buried there. If anyone has any information on Isaac Asplin it would be greatly appreciated as I have hit a road block on this. Thank you.
