It is very likeley his name is John - He gave the name James when he was tried in Sheffield, but every other document he uses John - just to make it harder from me 166 years later.

How is it in Stratford. It looks like a lovely place on the internet. I live in Brisbane Australia. It is so hard doing research in England 20000 km away. You must find it the same. WHen did your Aspinall move to Canada ?
