Brunswick Co, VA Will Bk 2, p 360: 23 Feb 1785--Lawrence Asselin & wife Sally of St. Andrew's Parish, Brunswick Co, to Harrison Hicks of Meherrin Parish, same county--158 acres. Warren Co, NC, Records, Vol III, & Abstract of Will Books 1779-1814, by Kerr: Bk 5, p 85--27 May 1789--Lawrence Asselin to Daniel Anderson, merchant. Mortgage on a negro to secure debt of 28 pounds.
