I'm looking for information as to who the parents are of Franklin Askins, born abt. 1803 VA & wife Elizabeth ? b. abt 1803 VA.
They are listed in the 1850 census of Crawford Co., MO:

(E. & P. are listed as twins)
James Askins age 11 M b. TN

Franklin Askins age 57 M b. VA
Elizabeth " " 57 F b. VA
Juliet " " 19 F b. KY
Phillip " " 25 M b. TN
James " " 21 M. b. TN
Thomas " " 16 M. b. TN
Marvin W. " " 13 M b. MO

The James Askins listed is my great-great grandfather. He married Annie Lucinda Halbert in Crawford Co., MO abt. 1866.

Any information on ancestors or descendants of this Askins family would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea where in VA they came from.
