From St. Charles (Ill.) Chronicle, 10 Oct. 1902: Injury to Aged Man W.P. Askins, engineer at the Illinois Southern railway planing mill at Sparta, while working with a drawing knife accidentally cut a gash about four inches long in his left leg just above the knee.
