Can anyone tell me more about these Askins in Illinois?
1) John who married Nancy Starner in 1841 in Effingham Co.
2) Lucinda who md John Lee in 1842 in Fayette Co.
3) Permelia who md Wm. Ward in 1845 in Moultrie Co.
4) George who was 15 in 1850, living with Permelia and Wm. Ward. Also in the home was a John Lee age 9, who could be the son of Lucinda and John Lee whom I cannot locate in 1850.
I am currently thinking these 4 Askins are siblings. Would appreciate any support for or against this theory. They may be the children of Jonathan Askins (1795/8 dead by 1850) and Lavina Smith Delano who married in Knox Co. OH 21 Oct 1819. Census in 1820, 1830 and 1840 would indicate they had 2 sons and 3 daughters.
Any help appreciated.
