John Askin the immigrant had a son named John Askin by Rebecca WRIGHT. He married Rebecca CLOCKER, daughter of Daniel CLOCKER and Mary LAWNE COURTNEY CLOCKER after Rebecca WRIGHT died. He had another son named George ASKIN. *I think George was the son of John ASKIN and Rebecca CLOCKER, but I've corresponded with other genealogists that felt he was the son of Rebecca WRIGHT and John ASKIN.* John ASKIN, the son of John ASKIN and Rebecca WRIGHT died c Mar of 1697. His will states that he leaves "To brother GEORGE and heirs plantation. In event of death of said brother without issue plantation to pass to Bryan son of Bryan DALY and heirs..etc." note: Rebecca CLOCKER ASKIN married Bryan Daly after John ASKIN sr., died. She married a Semmes "Simms"? after Bryan DALY died. George ASKINS died c 1749, married an Elizabeth ?. They had 5 girls and two boys. The oldest boy Vincent, died without heirs c 1745 and left his property to his younger brother John Askins who had removed to Fairfax County, VA. John Askins died c 1796 in Fairfax VA. His will names the following children:Courtney who migrated to Breckinridge County, KY c 1810 *my line* William George John Thomas born c 1774 VA, died c 1851 Bracken County, VA Rebecca married William Stone Vincent married Elizabeth Nolan There was a researcher named Margaret Ford that did extensive work on this family a number of years ago. I was lucky enough to connect with her and she was kind enough to share with me.
