John Askin was born 1740. His descendants are all over the world NZ,US,Canada and Australia. One of them, was Mayor of Dublin for some time. Have you been told that the name Askin was originally Erskine and the first Askins/Askin/Erskine was one of the '49ers' who went in Ireland in 1649?
