Eek! I just realized that the discover of Sarah's middle name in the census record as "Elizabeth" means that she cannot be one and the same as the wife of Thomas Edward Spencer (aka Thomas Edward Baron) who clearly appears on their marriage record as "Sarah *Ellen* Walmsley" - i.e. the person that I've been trying to trace the lineage of! Guess that blows my idea out of the water that Sarah Ellen Walmsley was the child of Richard Charles Walmsley and Frances Burdet Ashworth. There aren't by chance any other Sarah *Ellen* Walmsleys that you can see that could be Thomas' wife? She was born in the March qtr of 1864 in Clough-fold, Haslingden.

Luckily the mistake has been found, as annoying as it is that it has been made - thanks for helping me rule out that family as the one I should be interested in!! Otherwise I may have traced Richard Charles Walmsley and Frances Burdet Ashworth's lineage for no reason!

Cheers,
- Julie
