I wonder if E.L. Ashworth and the Ellis you speak of are one in the same. Amyway according to the book "Trinity County Beginnings" there is an article by Audry Dunlop Quick in which I found the following: There were three Ashworth brothers who married three Freeman sisters. Carroll Abner (C.A.) Ashworth married Mary Freeman. E.L Ashworth married Jennie Freeman. Eliza Jane Ashworth married John Freeman. Thanks for the information. I wish we could find more about the Freemans. I am the great-great grandaughter of John Freeman and Eliza Jane Ashworth.
