As far as I know all of my particular Ashworth line of interest were Church of England Vicars; none had links to the Methodist church - though it seems other families of Ashworths did. Many of the family I am researching were Particular Baptists for at least a couple of generations, but when they became wealthier and wanted to join the "establishment", they had their whole family baptised into the Church of England, even the older children. The boys then became eligible to attend Oxford and Cambridge Universities and were able to be ordained as C of E priests.
