I've learned that my ancestor Harriet ASHTON's middle name according to church records is Ball. I see that her Uncle is
Benjamin Ball ASHTON son of William ASHTON Jr. and Fannie LISLE/LYLE.
"Benjamin Ball Ashton b: Abt. 1834 in Moreland Twp, Montgomery Co, PA d: 04 May 1878 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co, PA"
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me where the "Ball" comes from, another family name perhaps?
