Harriet E. Ashton was my gg grandmother she was born 12 July 1831 in Wawarsing, NY.I do not know when she died. She was married on 22 Oct 1849 in Monticello, NY to Calvin Van Benschoten - b:31 Aug 1825 Fallsburg, Sullivan Co., NY d:04 Dec 1902 Middletown, Orange Co., NY. THey had 12 children.
Harriet's parents were Emmanuel Ashton - b: 28 Nov 1807 in England and Maria (Maryette)- b: 4 Feb 1811 in New York and they had 8 children. Most of this infomation comes from the Ashton /Van Benschoten Family Bible I have no futher information. Is there someone who can help me fill in the blanks.
